Hello, youwho,

Are you thinking of the large Tottenham cemetery in White Hart Lane. ?

I don't think there is an online index or register available, my own family are buried there.   The records are kept at the Enfield Crematorium & you can consult them yourself but they are not indexed so you would have to know the name & date of burial.  You can consult the records yourself at the Crem., I don't think they do a lookup service.

Enfield Crematorium,
Great Cambridge Rd.,
Enfield,  Middsx,
EN1 4DS

PM with phone no.

Hello Meliora

Yes thats the one, there are a lot of my family buried there also, I live in the West Country so a visit isn't possible at the moment I was hoping for an index like they have at Abney Park,  thanks for info.

Hi youwho,

Perhaps if you contact the officials and explain the logistics they might be able to help.

I have a similar problem, living in Dorset, and the London cemeteries I have contacted have, so far, been very helpful; sending grave references and, in one case, a plan of the cemetery.

Good luck,

Hello, Youwho & Nannyjan,

I have contacted the Enfield Crem. myself in the past both by visiting & a contact enquiry  but you do need to to visit unfortunately.  Even when I visited it took ages to go thro' some of the record books.

Hi youwho,
I've found that if you have the date of death the London cemeteries are usually extremely helpful and will usually do a quick check for you over the phone once they know you live far away.
Best wishes & good luck.

Thanks for all the info, sadly the person I'm seeking I don't even know the year of death, I was hoping for an online index I could search to try and find her, I have had no luck in the GRO lists, just have to keep looking, of course she may have remarried, another avenue I will need to go down.

Hello Fellow Searchers,

After many years of searching we have found the burial site of my Uncle Arthur John Robin (1915-1953). Northern Section with grave #. [My cousin first asked and they could not find any record. I e-mailed them again and found them very helpful.]
We just needed that one small clue which we received from a distant relative "Tottenham" that broke the lock.

Anyone making a trip there? Do you know the lay out of the cemetery? Is it well kept up? I have a map of the place but the Northern section is huge! I live in California and my cousin lives in Queensland, Australia. He plans to visit some time since he has been searching for so long to find his father's grave. I would love to revisit the UK but my travel days are over.
I have Googled and found random photographs by people on various photo sites.

Never give up. Dreams do come true!
