I wonder if anyone can help me with research into Edmund Lascelles born circa 1776 and who died in Gibralter 1850.He rose to Lol Col prior to his death.I have been trying to find details of his parents without any luck so far.My question is,when  he joined the Army,would  anyone have to sign his entry papers,a parent possibly?Any help appreciated.
