This may be two different Vera M Halpins, as the OneWorldTree has a Vera M Haplin born 1911 as a daughter of Bernard Joseph Haplin and Florence May Hedley. It has her married to William James Colvin. Vera Theresa, daughter of Patrick,  is married to Joseph Oliver Grills.

Same here, Cando.....I have had to give up on it for the moment.  I tried Victoria......just in case.......nothing.

I thought he might have turned up in WW1, but I don't think so.
