Dear Sandra
That is definitely my family. Helena Teressa was my great grand mum (she was a great knitter - all the women in my family including my sisters knit as a result of her influence). I must check to see if any of the siblings went by the name of Arthur. :-\
Until then, thank you.
Scott

Hello again!
I was just checking out some old obits on line (as you do...) and I noticed an Arthur Wren Atkinson who died a couple of years ago in California and I can't but help wonder if he was a relative.
Could someone please check the 1930 census to see if Arthur Atkinson (aka George Henry??) born England about 1978 and his wife Annie are mentioned?
Much Thanks!
Scott

You might want to try www.familysearch.org.  Transcripts of the 1930 Census are available for free there.

In case you never pursued the obit through the San Francisco library, they will now do it through e-mail.  http://sfpl.org/index.php?pg=2000049301

On http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/, there is a mention of Egbert Atkinson in a 1909 San Francisco paper.  The site is acting up a bit for me now, but it appears to be a real estate transfer.
