Elizabeth Alice DUKES
« on: Saturday 12 April 08 16:49 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out information regarding Elizabeth Alice Dukes who was born in Charlton Musgrove, Somerset.  She married Frank Thompson who came from Motcombe.  I am trying to find out why and how they came to end up living in Weymouth, Dorset.

I have found that Elizabeth's parents were Charles (1841) and Mary Ann (1843)  I have no surname for her mother.

Any help would be great.

Do you have her age 1 in 1871?

Elizabeth Alice's brothers Sidney, Henry and Charles Dukes are all in Dorset in 1891.

In Dec 1880 dad Charles H Dukes remarried Eliza Cox in Wincanton.

By 1881 Elizabeth Alice is not with the rest of the family- unless she's down as just Alice?

Can't find dad Charles or Eliza in 1891  >:(

Elizabeth Alice Dukes married Frank Thompson in Weymouth in Dec 1894.

So she can't be too far away in 1891.

No luck so far though  :(

I looked too earlier but can't see her - wonder if she was in service there and they married - simple as that.
The marriage certificate may give some clues- addresses etc
