;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Thanks Carol.  Can you point the squadron leader out to me, I seem to have lost him in the crowd!!!  ;D ;D ;D

I have to say I wish I had the larger scan in the first place.  The detail is brilliant and not only that, it's soooooooo much easier working with the larger scan as the guess work has been taken out of it and the pic really copes with the manipulation.  ( Think I might get everyone in future to email me a larger scan first!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Have to say it's coming up a treat but I'm taking my time, I want this to be as special as I can make it.

Cheers

Hiya Poll

I'd be lying if I said  the thought of colouring it hadn't crossed my mind, but I think we would need to call in the experts first.  I'm amazed at how good the scan is  :o :o which has also highlighted a few different uniforms.  Once we've posted our restores, if the armed services gurus could indicate which colours to use, then perhaps we should give it a go.   Mind you, I think we've got rocks in our heads, do you know how many brass buttons we're going to have to colour !!!!!!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

Flakdodger and I are awaiting in the wings, like greyhounds in the slips... ;D
One more charge and then be dumb,

Find my body near the wall.

;D Knew we could rely on you!  Not sure on Poll's progress, but mine's still got quite a bit to go but when we're ready, we'll call upon your expertise!  There appears to be a couple of uniform types, some light and some dark uniforms, as well as jumpsuits (probably the wrong terminology but I'm sure you'll forgive me!!) ;D ;D

Cheers

....and I'm hanging on every message that is posted....because I am just in awe, first of the picture itself, and then what has happened to it so far...
Just longing to see what happens next.
Take care, eyes first, photo second.

I'm sure that there are quite a lot of us out here following this one in total awe of you restorers. To tackle something of this size must be more than a challenge.
I keep scanning the faces, as I have a photo of a Pilot, killed in WW2, who flew from one of the Lincolnshire bases. He and my Mother were engaged, but apart from "Ginger", I have no name,no details, just a photo. Another of these - if only we had asked when she was alive - situations.
I live in hope that, one day Ginger will appear on someone elses photos, and that, from there, we might discover who he really was!
   Cheers,
      Pat.

Hi Woolly....I am watching this with interest too....I see you have Rowland in your tree...I have Rowlands going from Chester To Yorkshire in the 1890s...who knows...I may be able to stake my claim in this wonder piece of history.
This sight is interesting and there is a request for photos.
