That's nothing short of absolutely brilliant work.   I can understand the time it took to bring it back, but you've done a wonderful job.

Hi Poll and Everyone,

This picture that you have restored if breathtakingly brilliant!  You should be so proud that the next generations will be able to admire your hard work, for there was no colour photography then.  You have done a fantastic  job on this picture.

Congratulations, it is a brilliant piece of work!!

I have only just discovered this thread, my Dad was in the RAF as well.   I am still in touch with one of his old buddies.  I shall make that phone call tonight to get all the gen I am still lacking. 

I have realised reading this thread, that I don't know where they were stationed in England when they came back from Canada. They were with the School of Air Navigation for a while!

I had two uncles in the RAF as well both out in the middle east somewhere.  Then my Nephew was in the first gulf war.
