Oh dear I've lost the plot......don't you dare Elizabeth  :P

Talking of people getting their k in a t  ;)

So we're looking for someone who had a baby at 9 days old.........not two babies 9 days apart?

I think Danone needs to think this one through and maybe read his postings before he commits.

This is a bit weird - I know an old lady of this name who is in her 90s - if you can give me any more details, I'll check it through with her when I next see her (which won't be before Sunday!)

She was your great aunt, then Danone.

that is what had us flummoxed - you said she was your aunt i.e a sibling of a parent and therefore child of your grandparent.

But as has been said before on this thread - you need to look for the marriage of Albert Page.

OR - if you know if she had children, you could get one of their birth certs to find her maiden name.

What is puzzling me is how you have got an exact date and place for her birth.
I can only assume from a death certificate.
In which case it would be worth mentioning, as Jan's friend therefore could not be her.

There are 17 girls called Mabel born in Leicestershire in dec 1913.

Because her birthday was late in the month we also ought to allow for those registered in March 1914 too,as parents had up to 6 weeks to register a birth!

And 21 of them registered in Mar 1914.

Take your pick.......you can EASILY do this yourself Danone by clicking on to this Free BMD link http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ which we have suggested to you before.

Did she have children? If so when?

Hi Danone

Just a suggestion.....

Have a look for a marriage in the first quarter of 1939 in Ashby de la Zouch.

You should find an Albert A Page marrying Mabel ......

If you then check in the first quarter of 1914 you should find that particular Mabel’s birth registration and her mothers maiden name. She is on the list of 21 which Carol mentioned earlier.

If you think that Albert might have had a middle name and that this Mabel might be the correct bride, when you have worked it out, will you please let us all know what her name was (unless the lady is still alive).

DS ;)
