This photo is in a dreadful state. Can anyone do anything with it. It was taken about 1897.

It looks like a mish mash of at least two different photos !    :o :o :o

Somebody has already had a go at it with a clone tool.
You need the original pieces to make any sense out of it as Jim said.

I think its worse than that Jim1 - It looks like some one has cut and pasted manually :o

Please acknowledge when a restorer works on your photos, it can take hours for them to work their magic

Please scan at 300dpi minimum to help save the restorers eyesight.

I think that one photo was stuck to the other.  Other than duplicating heads it will never be a complete photograph.  I have tried this and the result is not that great.  Three sets of twins.  You are alowed to laugh at my attempt..  ;D
POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

Aaaw - you amputated the ear in the middle of the boys chest  ;D

Well done Charles - good attempt to make it respectable, sadly I don't think anyone is going to make a good job of this one unless we have all the pieces to put back in the right order.

I honestly don't know what happened to this photograph but I can see what you mean about it being in pieces and some boys missing. I only got a copy of it sent to me last week. I didn't think much could be done with it but it was worth a try. That is a very brave attempt Charles, full marks for trying, twins and all! I did say it would take a miracle. Thanks a lot anyway.
