Hi,
I see you are interested in LAKE family. My 4th great grand father Charles LAKE, born in Thursford in 1839. He went to New Herrington, Durham around 1868 & was back in Norfolk in 1876.
I was wondering if you have a WILKIN interest as my gran was Mary Alberta WILKIN born in Aldborough, Norfolk, she married Arthur Thomas LAKE.

Regards,
             Richard Lake, Gooderstone, Norfolk

Hi Holly, not sure where you are with your search for England snr & John. Just in case you have not found any thing, here is Johns burial in Bale 21/04/1877. Walsingham is the registration district.
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01glj/   If you go to the next page England snr's burial      17/12/1881. Confimation of the marriage of England jnr to Susannah Dunn.

p.s. Have got it right now, don't know what went wrong, sorry, Dave  ;)

Hi Puddle,
No, I'm not descended from a Wilkin, but wish you luck in your family research.

Hi Dave,

Which John would it be?  The numbers don't seem to work, or are my numbers wrong?

Thanks for the confirmation of Susannah and England.  I still don't know why Ancestry has 2 dates.  I'm sure there is a simple reason.

Thanks!
Holly

Hi I also have a large number of Lake's in my Family Tree. They are in 2 clusters one Hindringham and the coast near Stiffeky .A William Lake one of my ancestors was married to Susannah Applegate in Hindringham 1775,she was born in Field Dalling, Norfolk on the 15 May 1775 age 20. The other is around Rockland all Saints, Caston, Attleborough also Larling and Hockwold cum Wilton.
This has made me think that there must be a connection with all of the Lake names in Norfolk. I am also related to the Gooch,Olley, and the Barnards.I hope this will help in some way.
                                                                         Kind Regards
