William Major bap. 12 Apr 1747 Betley Staffordshire, father Randle

Randle Major = Mary Bourne 13 Jul 1741 Audley, Staffordshire, England

Randle is possibly the son of John bap. 21 May 1679 Audley whose father was also called Randle, I've not found a baptism for Randle.

If you don't mind my breaking in, do you see any Harwood Majors?  I saw you had several names to work from.  I have a Harwood Major living in Surrey, Virginia (US) on 20 Dec 1771, but can't move across the Atlantic because I don't know where the family came from.  I know it is a shot in the dark, but I figured Harwood is a unique enough name it should be obvious if he is related.

Try Norfolk and Suffolk there is a family with the surname Harwood Major there in the 19th century.

That is an interesting find.  After looking further, your Harwood was married in 1763 and still having children in 1779.  My Harwood was married in Surrey, VA in 20 Dec 1771 to Lucy Watson, daughter of James Watson.  But thank you for checking it for me.
