Hi

I am a beginner to all this so please excuse any daft questions.

I am looking for information regarding the McLean family which I have traced back to the Parish records for Cupar where James McLean married Christina Bell in 1839.

I am therefore interested particularly in the following

42 Catherine Bell
46 Catherine Bell
118 Christina Bell
123 Jane Bell

thanking you in advance

Thank you for your prompt reply!

Yes they moved to Dundee and I have been working backwards, hoping to find some record. By the way I have a copy of the 1851 census and I read the address as 16 Well Street.

Thank you again.I have the 1881 census details for Tyndals Wynd, who are my direct ancestors. I have been using Scotlands People, so will now try Free Cen where I can. Not sure how I missed Free Cen as I have been using Free BDM but for English/Welsh ancestry. I will have to see where the other McLeans take me.
