Tas to Vic early 1900s??
« on: Monday 31 March 08 12:29 BST (UK) »
 Hey there.

Anyone out there know how I could find out when my grandfather and his family came to Victoria from Tasmania?

I believe my grandfather was born 1912 in Tasmania and then his younger sisters, triplets, were born in Ballarat 1915.  Their father died 3 years later in Natimuk, Victoria.
Board, Lee (father's side), Cox, Lee (mother's side), Adams, Dyne, Allen, Burton, Hooker, Ryan, Mumberson, Bland, Hitchcock, Edwards, Anderson, Dixon, Locke, McFadzean, Escott, Easter...

Your grandfather's death certificate should show how long he lived in Tasmania and Victoria, as would your gt grandfather's death cert.

Is this the gt grandfather's death

Yes that's the one. I didn't realise that info would be on the death certificate.

Is there a transciption service that would give that info without having to buy the actual certificate?

Also trying to find out why they moved to the mainland.

wait up....I just realised that that may not be the right names. According to my info (passed on research), Thomas William BOARD who died in 1919, married an ADAMS however his parents were Thomas William BOARD and Bridget COOPER?

Thanks so much. Yes i don't know if the 3rd baby was registered because she was stillborn.

The division of Loch sounds familiar too. Ah more pieces for my puzzle!  :)
