Good Bye Alan. I will miss you dearly .
"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."
This is a quote from Laura Ingalls Wilder and it is what Alan would have wanted.
Sybil my prayers are with you and yours at this difficult time. Remember I am only an email away if you ever need me.
Alan was a very special friend who helped me at a very difficult time in my life and I will always remember his kindness and his wicked humor.
he had invited me to Dunoon for a spag bol and a bottle of Vino. I plan to do just that some day just as we planned .
I will of course bring my special lint for the occasion.

All my love Prop,
Wee

Alan

Heavens gates have opened and the Angels are singing
Welcoming you home for a new beginning.
Past family and friends meet to greet you there,
Just as the living will take care of your 'beloved' down here.

Your a courageous and sincere soul

Prop

My sincere sympathy to you, yours and Alan's family. You have been so open and have shared with us all your happiest and difficult times. Know that the world overflows with tears as everyone shares and feels for you in your time of grief

How very strange it is to feel so sad at the loss of a man I never met in the flesh.  I guess the rootschat room is a place where souls and personalities connect and form bonds of caring and sharing, which go beyond the limitations of location and distance.  Sybil, I feel with you, your loss of your beloved Alan, and hope that it will be of comfort to you, to know that so many people from all over the world are sharing your sadness and sending you love and healing.

"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."

Wee, you have summed it all in that  quote, that is exactly what Alan would say,
Alan had not been that long in chat, although he sometimes dropped in when illness allowed, and he was so touched bye the messages, you sent when he he was told of the latest illness, and both of us shed tears of joy with the love and kindness, shown on our wedding,
I know he would like me to send Flowers to the Ladies,

Proph,

I cant really add to the sentiments that have been expressed here. Some from friends you knew well, and some from others who only knew you and Alan through the chat room.

I fall into the latter category but still feel I have got to know about your life in the last few months. Obviously, a well thought of couple.
My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Sybil, I hope you don't mind but had to put this on here for you to listen to. My friend is singing it and I think it is a very comforting song. hope it works.
