Dear friends

Alan's funeral will be on Wednesday 2nd April.

There will be a service at St John's church Dunoon at 1pm. This will be followed by another service at Greenock Crematorium at 3pm.

Sybil has asked me to let you know that everyone who would like to attend is very welcome.

Sybil has asked that instead of flowers can donations be made to the Cowal Hospice, Dunoon General Hospital, 360 Argyll St, Dunoon PA23 7HH. (Cheques should be made payable to the Cowal Hospice) in Alan's memory.

A lot of folks have asked for their address and she has said is OK to post it here.

Sybil Baldwin
75 Ardenslate Road
Kirn
Dunoon
PA23 8NL

Best wishes

Ann

I am so very touched just came on to do some emails and looked at the posts,
so much love from you all, I am so very humbled, and in floods of tears,
I will miss him dearly, we spoke often of what would be and I have not to  :'( to long he said i could have two weeks max,  ;)

if there was one message Alan would send you all today of his passing, it would be,
" I have now taken up my post as chief clerk, I trust you have checked through your tree and all is in order for my job of finding your lost ancestors, "

his humour was there to the end, it was a privilage to be his wife, it may have been short, marriage but it was sweeter than Honey,

To Ann thank you so much for keeping everyone up to date, it has not been the nicest of things for you to do, and you seem to do it often,

My last words with Alan were when he came into the chatroom last Dec to have a natter.

He loved and cherished you and my thoughts are with you.

It is with sadness that I learned today of Alan's passing and I feel deeply for you right now Prop.

One thing family history does, is bring together people from all over the world seeking their heritage and friendships are born.

It is those friendships that will sustain us all when we have sadness in our lives and Prop those firendships are here for you whenever you need them.

Special thoughts and Roses from Downunder
