Thanks Harry I would appreciate that.  As I said before I did visit Stratford library last week but wasn't looking for it then.  I was following up on some baptisms and had a lot of help from two lovely ladies in the archive department.

They helped me fnd my dads christening in St Andrews church records, the name I was looking for was Claridge, so if you know the ladies there please tell them how much I appreciated their help.

Thanks also to Kesannah who went looking for me.
Claridge, Banes, Davidson, Guthrie. West Ham area.

No photo just a query in case any of you happen to have seen a photo of this church. I  have been told by a cousin researching that none exist.  I find that hard to believe as surely people had wedding photos with it in the background hence my query on this board.

It wasn't demolished until about 1940.

After years of searching I have found an original postcard of st Gabriel, the collector charged me a fair bit but it was well worth it most of my family lived ,married and died in and around the church

Wow! You actually have a photo of St Gabriel's? Our family used that church a lot and we've been searching for a photo for years but to no avail. Any chance you could share it, either here or privately? I do have an aerial view to share, although it is obscured by trees. It shows the surrounding area after bombing and was taken not long before it was demolished.
