okay, I have unconfirmed names, dates and places for the ancestors on the fanthorpe side going back seven generations of the above fanthorpe brothers (jesse, charles, edward, james) shout out if you interested

The Fanthorpes are on the edge of my research, so I shall just keep an eye on this thread to see if there are any developments affecting me. A few years ago Doncaster FHS had a talk by an archivist from Lincolnshire Archives on this subject, it concerned inter relationship in 19th century and earlier Lincolnshire villages. My family (Luffman) had only been in the county around thirty years in the earlier 19th century, and yet they were already related to two lines in these massive trees, including the Fanthorpes as mentioned earlier.

James' mother was Mary Smith according to my records...father's name Charles.
