kerry there is asubmitted entry on IGI for Edward Payne marrying Jane Unknown (no help there then) about 1797 in East GRinstead

His wife is called Lamar also b East Grinstead and they have 8 children

do we have Richard Payne b. 1893 East Grinstead?

he served in ww1 in the coldstream guards

his papers say father Richard Payne, 40 College Road Haywards Heath

on the 9th nov 1914 he was 5'9"
21 years and 91 days
35 1/2" chest
fresh complexion
blue eyes
dark brown hair
he was a farmer by trade
he had 6/6 vision and had been vaccinated
oh and he suffered from Tonsilitis & varicous veins
