This may be a longshot Kerry but on 1871 ive found a Ann Bonwick b 1802 Edenbridge,

living in Lingfield on her own. Cant find her on an earlier census though.

Incase its worth holding on to  RG10/1057/50/10

I've just had a look at the Surrey Marriage Index and found the following which could be Ann.

Ann Kesterton and William Hudson married 1826 Lingfield.

Found the 1851 census

Moses was a sawyer and lived near Saxbys.  ::)  On the same page are several other Payne families.

H0107 1641 133 12  Both he and Rebecca were born in Lingfield.

So the question is who were Moses's parents and was he one of my lot??

Could be possible if his sister Sarah married John.  Hmmm
