Raylen you have taken the words out of my mouth. :D

I am still trying to get this all sorted on paper but everyone here on the island seems to think today is the day to call in.. ;D ;D

It was a very interesting story about Uncle Ly wasn't it I wonder if there is going to be a connection.  Apparantly there is a connection in St George but still have to find and prove all that as well.  My brother-in-law met some Underwoods when he was out there but getting information out of him is like pulling teeth  ;D

Hi Folks,

We've made a great team researching this for Deidre and we have had heaps of fun.

However, it seems that most of it was already known....

Very disappointing not to be told......we could have spent our time trying to find other information......

Oh Dee.that is  very  disappointing isn't it.

If we  had  all  the information  to  hand  in the first  intstance  we  would  have still  looked  just as  hard  to  find  any further information,  but  we  wouldn't  have wasted  time and  effort  on  information  that was allready  to  hand.

By  the  information  on  the  link  Deirdre allready  knew  that  Underwood  was most likely Underdown.

Now  Deirdre  where  did  you  find  that  information, was  it  family  lore  or did someone else  find  the  link.

The Underdown family was discredited by the Underwoods as not the right family so I was advised to give it to RootsChat as they were spot on in all their findings you have not wasted your time as you have found more than was given originally I had said that the information I had was found for me and I did not want you to go off on a path preconceived so in fact not proving to this family that all was linked.  I had no information about Heard nor SA WA ... the information you have found for me has been excellent beyond all boundaries.  You also found for me the link to Devon no small feat Charlee had the same info yes but you enlarged on it and proved it so this family now believes me.
I apologize if you feel you have wasted your time but I don't think you did you were magnificent.  I have it all sorted and on paper and have sent it off to my Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law who now believe that they started out as Underdown of course I am having a little difficulty getting them to accept the Heard but they are not as deffinate as they were before.

I have received a link today from my cousin in the Virgin Islands and it is very interesting and I have just come on line to leave it for you as I thought if you haven't seen it you may be interested in looking at it.

I do apologise if you think I did this wrong.

Hello  there Deirdre

It  wasn't  a  case  of  feeling  you  were wasting  our  time  but  more like  wasting  time  on  stuff   that you allready  had.  I  am  not trying  to be  mean  or nasty  just trying to clarify  how  I  know  I  felt.  A  little  miffed  but    can  understand  what  you are saying  though.   I am  very glad  that  you  were able  to find  more on  your family  though,  after all that is  the  purpose  of  the board ;D

So  now where  did  you get  your  orginal  information  that  there may  have been  a  change of  name,  that could be  helpfull  in  the overall .

regards Jenn

Deirdre I was disappointed that you didn't give us all the information in your initial request.  We all love the challenge of researching  but it is a tad annoying to find that the requester already has the information.

I guess this has been a learning experience for you as well.

Cheers
