Hey  Dee ...  suppose Robert Senior  isn't  there Mr Nuderdown himself.

Well  now  Diedre  that  does sound a  long and  painfull  death,  they  do  say  not to relieve yourself near railway  tracks.  Very  heavy  injuries  probably a while  till  they  got him  to a  Hospital  etc.

I  know  that a few fellow rc's go to  the State Library .  Ruskie  and Marice C  and  good  ole Trisha.  So  one of  them  might be  able  to copy  what  you  missed.  But  the Library  itself  will do  it for a smal  fee.

The State Library is fantastic Jenn I just fill out an email form and they find the record photocopy it and mail it to me .. they only do a 2 hour search but I get as close to the dates etc that I need and they usually find what I need.  The State Archives are different they need you there in person unfortunately.  I get to the State Library when ever I go visit my mum she lives close to Southbank.

Oh.....something that was asked earlier.....

I'm sure the Underdowns in South Australia must have all been related......Robert and Thomas were born in South Leigh, Devon....and Lycurgus, son of Emanuel, was born in North Leigh.

Looking at the 1841 census there were a few Emanuels in that area......  :D

I'll have a deeper look later.
