What we’ve found……..
No UNDERWOODS what so ever with BDM registrations in Bendigo or Sandhurst.
Very few BROOM/McBROOM records in Oz.
But….lots of UNDERDOWN records for Bendigo and Sandhurst.
From BISA….which can have inaccuracies…….it seems lots of the UNDERDOWNS who were in Bendigo at the time of the Goldrush years actually arrived in South Australia……went over for the Goldrush years……a few stayed but most returned to South Australia or went on to other states to mining areas.
