I reckon you're right, Cando.....

The one we need to find is Robert James Charles....because if we found him, then we'd know that Underdown did not become Underwood!

Wow I am going to go do dinner again  :D :D you girls are going like a storm here ... well done Dee ... now I need to go through it all and see what is what.  But the Robert James Charles jumps out and hits you between the eyes doesn't it seeing as it is the first time it has come to light.  You have me all excited here thank you thank you thank you all of you.

Raylen, I have checked the inquisition of Robert James Charles Underwood and they have his age at death at 44 in 1916  so that puts his birth year 1872 so what you say about not knowing how old he was is valid.  If he was born 1869 he should have been 47 at time of death.

Just a thought was there a marriage of Elizabeth Herd to Robert Underdown as in a second marriage?
