Not close enough for frequent visits then .. that is a shame.  Our little one is on the Northside of Brisbane and we are out in the Bay off Redland Bay so we have gaps between visits as well.  Sometimes I think that is good others I am wishing we were all closer together...perverse we humans aren't we... :D

All it took was to post that question and whalla it arrived in the post today... ::)

The death cert district is Inglewood Victoria 9/3/1861
Joshua George Underdown infant of 22 months died from Dysentry - 2 weeks
Father Robert Underdown - Miner
Mother Elizabeth Ann Underdown (no maiden name mentioned)

The difference in the record you found me was Amherst Victoria.
My question is.  Is Amherst anywhere near Inglewood Victoria please?

Thank you again
Deirdre

Hi guys, I have only just come across your commentary, and am excited that there is someone else that is looking at the UNDERDOWN family that was in Adelaide and Kalgoorlie.  I am decended from this family and would appreciate the finding out more about your journey to discovering who the various UNDERDOWN people were.  cheers  ;D

Hi, I have had a quick look through the information on this site...I am amazed at how some of the information has been able to be found so quickly.  I have long had an 'UNDERDOWN family tree' provided to me when I was a child with many names and dates of the various family members, but I have not known how to easily go about proving that these records are actually correct, or where to really look for the certificates (when I can afford to get some) or other relevant information.  What is amazing to me is that I have seen my family unravel through your online discussion.
I do have a qiuick question though, what is BISA? I saw frequesnt references to it.
Thank you for having this discussion online I have enjoyed reading how my family has been discovered.  As a note Robert UNDERDOWN (m to Eliza McBroom) is my GGG grandfather, and William Joshua George UNDERDOWN (m Mary Agnes GRIFFIN) is my GG Grandfather.
cheers
