« on: Monday 24 March 08 21:45 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I've been researching family in Australia and acquired some extra details, not to my knowledge for my family.

One  couple is Isaac Clarke (B Aus?) and Catherine Clarke, formerly O'Neil (Born Tipperary, Ireland)

Details arte: for 1865, child born Australia, birth details, plus more on parents ages, marriage and other earlier children.

I can post or send PM with more details if anyone's interested.

Best wishes

Hi
What information do you have on Catherine Clarke.  I have a Catherine Clarke in my tree.  She married Godfrey Taylor in Portumna, Galway which is just over the border of Tipperary,  Godfrey and Elizabeth had a daughter named Elizabeth.  At some stage the family moved to Australia.  I have more information on Elizabeth but nothing more on parents.  Does this ring any bells.

cheers

Hi

It's great to har from someone after all this time!  I'll look out the details for you.  It will be  the birth of a child, but it should give the place and date of marriage among other things.

I'll look it out and get back to you.

Best wishes

Hi

I've finally found my information.  Not sure she will be yours, but she couldn't have been far away, although she already has one ,arrisge to her name!

All I know is Catherine Clarke, formerly O'Neal aged 18, had a son Robert Claridge Clarke on 22 October, 1865 in Trewalla (Tuwalla?) District of Portland, Australia.  He was the first child, father born adelaide, aged 23.  They had been married 23 Jan 1865 in Truwalla?

Catherine says she was born in Tip[perary, Ireland.

She must have been very close to your family, or a cousin if she's not your Catherine, as she was born Tipperary and ended up near Portland, Victoria!

I hope it's useful.

Best wishes

Hi, i have just started to look up my family tree and Catherine Clarke married to Isaac Clarke was my great great grandmother on my fathers side. I have a little information on the Clarke side of the family and wanted to know if you have anything on Catherine's side of the family?
Thanks Sam
