Hello Liscoole ,
I was given most of the details from a  South African family member who about twenty years ago had been in contact with surviving Magees  on the spot in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately that family link no longer exists. The Mormon records only included three of the names concerned. :D
Ireland :Co. Wexford: Hogan,  O'Donohoe ,Connolly,Stoner,Grangel
             Co. Antrim : Russell,Magee,Jennings,Espie,Kennedy
             Co. Cork: Bradley
South Africa: Russell,Fitzsimons,Behrens,Cooper
Australia : Hogan,Roy,Walsh-Smith
Scotland: Russell

thank you Elaine, that is quite spooky and very possibly the person I am looking for! Interestingly enough, the family did have some connections with England- Barrow in furness but I will definetly investigate any possible connections with Devon. Does the info state any occupations?

many thanks
