Tayelor to the Cape 1948
« on: Monday 24 March 08 12:37 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can help.

I'm on the trail of Kenneth Macy Tayelor (b1912)  and his wife Eileen (b1917), who sailed to the Cape in 1948.  They lived in the London area and he was a Captain in the Royal Ordnance Corps.

I am reliably informed that I have the correct date and method of transport, but I can see no trace on the FindMyPast passenger lists.

Where on earth could they be? ???

Well I can tell you they were divorced in South Africa in 1955 according to the archives. Will carry on looking.

Hi Ruth

Thank you for your time, much appreciated. That's one thing I didn't know - I knew they divorced, but not when.

As he was a Captain in the Arned Services, could he have gone out on a military ship - I know the war was well over, but just a thought.

Anyway, many thanks again.

Hi Alice

I can help with details of Kay Tayelor, as he was known.
