Jan,

Small World - I'm in Wellington at the moment. I split my time between Shropshire and my house on the shores of Loch Conn in Co. Mayo.

Have made a steady migration north and west, born Hastings, Sussex then moved to Colchester, Essex (and yes I married an Essex Girl and know every one of the jokes) next came Shropshire and the final move will be permanently to Mayo in October this year.

Indi, I see from your post that you try to come back to Brum every two years.  You will have to let me know when you're due here again, and as you love Shrewsbury that would be the perfect excuse for us to meet up here!!!!! :D

Paul B, you're just down the road from me - but not for much longer!!!!  Your house on the shores of Loch Conn just sounds idyllic ;)

Oops!

Thought I'd put it in the profile, but no.

I live in the garden city of Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia.  Mountain climate - great lifestyle - no-one will get me away from here permanently though I love to travel! :)

I was born in Harrow and have lived in Northamptonshire for 32 years.
My in laws came from Co Clare- I love it there!

Does this ring any bells?  ;D

Carol

The Green and Red of Mayo
I can see it still
It's soft and craggy bogland
It's tall majestic hills
Where the ocean kisses Ireland
And the waves carress it's shore
The feeling it came over me
To stay forever more
Forever more
