Hi Lynn,
Burnside Street used to run parallel to Grove Street.
See the map that someone posted in the first page of messages.
My GGGrandfather lived on Burnside St just before he married my GGGrandmother who lived on Grove St.

Thanks for the extra info too, am keen to have a look at it.

Regards
Julie

I had a relative living in 24 Grove Street in 1920. He was Eddie Alexander McKnight and he would have been living there from the late 1980's. He was married to an Esther [Cissie] and I think they left Grove Street then as I have a Christmas card from her in 1921 from 568 Phonix Park, Port Dundas. They had a son Peter Barclay McKnight and a son Lawrence. I am in contact with their grandson so I will ask him if he has any photos of the area. He lives in Glasgow and I live in Australia. I googled the address and there was a result but I think the area has been redeveloped.

Esther [nee Barclay] was my aunty, my father's[Duncan] sister. My father came out to Australia in 1927 with my Uncle Johnnie and my grandfather Peter and my step-grandmother. Essie had a sister Margaret [Meg], a brother John  and a younger brother Peter who we have lost contact with as he was given to an Aunty Jean and Uncle Arthur after my grandmother died in about 1911 in Glasgow.

Must have been bad years for that address.  My ggggrandparents Alexander Campbell and Janet Stevenson died in 1875 and 1878 at 35 Grove St, both of Bronchitis.
