Thank you Jack-----I'LL Keep a note of this info---I do know that Peter & Bridget had a son John who was blind but he was born abt 1862....there was also a very large family of Fannings living in the Tuam area....regards Nipy

Thomas Fanning son of Peter Fanning Gardeham Married Mary Laffey Cloughane (neighbouring townland) 12th Sept. 1889 at Lackagh Church.   Ger

Thanks Ger for your reply ...Yes Thomas was the son of Peter & Bridget,I do know that some of Thomas & Mary's children went to USA ,they lived in Chicago,their son Myles died a young man in his early 30's in Chicago, their older son Peter also lived in Chicago....regards NIPY

have you looked on the 1901/1911 census for galway Fanning listed livin at Gardenham/annaghdown
