thanks so much.  i think this is the right family, as Edward's one daughter was Agnes Annie Fredrika Martha.
If i needed to find out if they were on 1901 census, would it be possible?  I know that their one daughter above was born in 1902 in South Africa and am trying to find a time frame of when they emigrated.

Well, in 1901 Henry and Ann are in Barrow in Furness, with John, Richard, Percy and Elizabeth still at home (Elizabeth 8 years old)

I can find no trace of Edward Henry.

Hi Jackie,
These Sheltons are relations of my husband.  His g.grandparents were Henry Shelton & Ann Moore.  Their daughter was Ellen Louisa b.1881 Westmorland was my husband's grandmother.  Ellen married David Chittick in 1906 Windermere.  His mother Margaret was b.1912 Paisley Scotland. The family came to Australia 1913.

If you join the group "Sheltons of England and the United Kingdom" on Facebook.  Brian Duncan Shelton may be able to help.  His grandfather was John William Shelton b.1885 who went to Sth. Africa.  He was a brother of Ellen. 

Mark Herlin Shelton is also a member of the group.  His grandfather was Edward Henry Shelton b.1877 brother of Ellen and John William Shelton.  He also went to Sth. Africa.

Hi, I would like to learn more about Edward's one daughter was Agnes Annie Fredrika Martha referred to. As far as I know he had Gwen and Doreen as daughters, no Agnes. Edward's brother John is my Grandfather. Brian Shelton [Cape Town]

Hi, Just find these posts again. Did anyone find more info about Matha Agnes Frederika Reiseberg. I have collected a lot of info. She was Edward's 1st wife. He joined the British Army  to fight in the Boer War in SA circa 1900. Died 18/10/1945.
