? Old Library building

Nearly forgot.......does anyone know what is happening to the Alexandra Road building???    I believe that it is listed??   I may be wrong.....?

Where would the 'Alexandra Road' building be?  Did a search but many Alexandra Roads up for development, do you have the full address?

Many apologies for my error       I had meant to add this onto my previous post re the new Swansea Library at County Hall in Oystermouth Road.    There seemed to be a little discussion developing about the new library and BevBee mentioned loving the old building so tagged my comment on to hers.   I hadn't bargained for other people to be interested in Alexandra Road, Swansea where the old library was situated.       Very sorry but I am a 'newbie' on this board and got a bit carried away!

Hi,

Don't worry, the old library is being taken over by Swansea Metropolitan University (the Institute as it was) and, as I understand it, they can't change the interior because, as you say, it is listed. They have to work around whatever is already part of the fixtures and fittings.
