All help appreciated.

Hibarbara - I found that too
Transcribed as "Lonecke" p.o.b. transcribed as Newcastle
image -although very faint reads (to me) as "Lough"
and p.o.b. as Berwick for Mary and Dixon
I had the street as possibly Garden St -but not at all certain about that

Hi Suz,
Checked the street on FindMyPast and the enumeration page! Found it transcribed as Lough on FindMyPast but clearer image on an**try !!
Looking for Mary in 1861 but of course to be certain, Dixon's birth cert would be a good idea as she probably married after 1861 census

In 1881 Dixon is boarding with Stephen and Eliza Bond
Could Eliza be his sister?

if this is the case then this could be Dixon's family in 1861

if that is the family in 1861, then this is a strange entry for 1851
Weston lane

Thomas son 11
Isabella daughter 9
William son 7
John son 5
Robert son 3
Robert brother in law U 37 gun maker
all b berwick on tweed

As barbara said, it looks like the purchase of a birth cert would be advisable

Hi
I know quite a lot about Dixon Alder Lough, as he is my great, great grandfather. In fact my father has a portrait of him.
Get in contact if you want to know more. I'm keen to understand where you fit into the family tree.
Cheers
Steve
