can't find birth/death info on vic indexes

Hi all

I am scratching my head here trying to locate a birth and death entry in the Vic indexes for a mother and daughter.
Am looking for the following-

-  birth of a Mary Hall born to a Mary Holmes and James Shipwash Hall approx late 1852 or early 1853 in Collingwood area. I have purchased death cert of little girl but have been unable to locate birth entry.

- death entry for Mary Hall(1st wife of James S Hall)), died Vic between 1853 -1864. Maiden name Holmes.

- death entry of Rosalie Hall (2nd wife of James S Hall) died Vic between 1864 - 1867. Maiden name Allison & states widow on her marriage cert to James in 1864.

Hope I have not confused everyone here. I have tried to rack my brain and look for any names in the indexes with spelling errors as well. Surely they have to be there somewhere don't they?

Hoping someone has any ideas on where or how to search next.

I found james Shipwash Hall Snr and Junior in the Australian Electoral Roll 1901-1936 - gives at least their location in Ancestry.

at Corinella and Merinda.

Not much help with other info.
