I have heaps of info I'd like to swap.
Susanna Eliza PERKINS (WATCHORN) & Eliza PERKINS (CHAPMAN) were sisters who came out to Hobart in 1826 on the "Phoenix" with their husbands & children, later both having many more children in Hobart.
Their father was (John) Bingley PERKINS, from St Neots in Huntingdonshire, by his second marriage to Elizabeth unknown. His first wife was Susanna CARELESS from Eynesbury. Some of those children died in St Neots.
Bingley was son of Elijah PERKINS & Ann DAY from St Mary's in Huntingdon who settled in St Neots in 1758.
Bingley had a surviving son John, but it is unknown whether he is anything to do with John PERKINS of Tassie b1812. It is supposed he (John) came from Wales ?? which could indicate why some of his children have Welsh sounding names.
Hows that for starters ?
Milton.
