Shirley, do you have the document open in Word?
Even if we have different versions, Word should still have a drawing toolbar.
This is what mine looks when you make the Drawing toolbar visible

I am really trying everything. Still no good

My document is open in Word on my View icon is has Toolbars with an arrow.
Ruler ticked
Status bar ticked
All Characters
Header and Footer
-------------------
Zoom

When I go to the Toolbars arrow I then have Standard, Formatting, Large Icons.
That's all.

Tick on the Formatting one, Shirley, it should expand the list

Formatting was ticked and Standard was ticked.

Clicking on Formatting again took out the bottom line of fonts, bold, italics, underline etc.
