Robert II and Elizabeth Mure of course, then,
Alexander Stewart Lord of Buchan-Lord of Badenoch,
Alexander Stewart Earl of Mar,
have been given;
Stewart of Garth, with David son of
James Stewart of Fincastle, (end at this point coming forward),
 then going from now til then it is;
Isabel Stewart married John Blair 8th of Ardblair;
her father said as James Stewart 1st of Ladywell.

Can you give me some names of your direct ancestors with places and dates of birth in the 19th century (if in Scotland)? If they had emigrated by then can you give me your most recent Scottish ancestor from the 18th century?
I am descended from 3 lines of Stewarts all in Southern Perthshire (where I was born and brought up myself), and so have a big database to check.

all from c1660 to 1900 were FREER, begining with George Freer, ordained minister at Lethendy, married Helen Blair 26 Dec 1699, my line is of 1st son Adam Freer 1704, but going the other way, Helen Blair's father was John Blair 8th of Ardblair, John Blair married Isabel Stewart daughter of James Stewart 1st of Ladywell.

Also given the name of Stewart of Garth,
James Stewart of Fincastle, I have little on dates and location, only names at present, confirmed by Stewart Society and Gordon Macgregor.
