Hi Chris,
Does it give an age for him on the memorial?  Exactly what kind of information are you after?

The CWGC site gives 2 W. Haylor  http://www.cwgc.org/

W. Haylor  no age.  Royal Sussex Reg.
W.C. Haylor  no age  Royal Sussex Reg.  Buried Cuckfield Cemetery.

The 1901 census shows only one Haylor family in Surrey;

Holmwood, Dorking  RG13/623/38/4

Henry Haylor  29  Woodcutter  b. Pulborough Ssx
Mary              26                                   ditto
Charles           2                        b. Nutfield Ssx
William            2m                     b. Dorking

The nearest I can find on the 1901 census that might correspond with the W. Haylor KIA 1914, is this Haylor family;

1901 - Horsham Road, Slaugham  RG13/909/49/5

John Haylor  58  gen lab.  b. Cuckfield
Harriet Hate  48                b. Brighton
John              22   ditto     b. Cuckfield
George          18   ditto           ditto
Rose Emma    12                    ditto
WILLIAM        10                    ditto
