George William Warner married Florence Hall, she was the daughter of Richard Thomasson Hall who married Mary Ann Yule (widow) who must have had a son before she married Richard. See 1861 census R.G.9/135 Islington. George Phillip Yule was born Huntingdon, Cambridge, 1850.
Thank you for the advice on a trip to Kew!
As mentioned before, there was a witness at the marriage of George William Warner and Florence Hall - John Sinclair. I have found two as follows:-
1851 census Kent, Canterbury, St Mary Northgate Barracks. H.O. 107/1624.
John Sinclair aged 4, born Longford, (possibly Ireland), whose father was a Sergeant in the 2nd Dragoons!
1881 census Acton, Middlesex R.G.11/1353.
John Sinclair, widower, age 34, Ry Engine Driver, born, France (Brit Sub)
The puzzle is, was George's father a Station Master in the Army or the Railways? Also where was his son George born?
Was there such a post as Station Master in the Army? Armed forces page I think!
Thanks for everyone's help and advice, keep thinking!
