Fanny McCallion is my 1st cousin 3xs removed. Her father Michael was the brother of my 2nd great grandmother Catherine McCallion who married Michael Devlin from Foffenagh.
I always wondered why Fanny gave her address as Glenmakee on her wedding record rather than Meendacalliagh. So she must have been living there. Then I discovered that there was a John McCallion living at Glenmakee. John's father was also a Michael McCallion and I believe that this John was Fanny's brother. He married a Mary Ann McDaid in 1891 at Buncrana. Mary Ann was from the Illies. John McCallion disappears after his wife died in 1908. His children are living with various family members in 1911. John McCallion died at Meendacalliagh in 1941 age 80, widower. Informant: Kathleen McDaid, sister, 38 Rossville Street, Derry. Kathleen/Catherine was definitely Fanny's sister. Catherine married an Owen McDaid in 1897 and lived in Derry.
