Any of the birth certificates will give the exact place of birth (townland/street address). Church records will probably gve baptismal, and hopefully birthdates, of the children. 1901 and 1911 census records are gradually being put online by National Archives:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie (see under future plans to see where Sligo is on the list)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

You could try this site for 1901 Sligo:
www.leitrim-roscommon.com/1901census
(not sure if it's this one but have seen one census transcription site that only recorded Catholics)
put in 'Pound' anywhere in townland box and lots of entries for Pount St. came up- looks like it might be in Sligo townland.

Going through older posts and came across this one again. By now you might have been able to find more information but if you haven't done so the following might be of interest.

The 1901 and 1911 Irish census records are now both online. I thought this may be your Flynn family in 1901 - Patrick's age (52 years) looks a bit young to be married in 1865 but the 2 sons Thomas and Michael's ages are 3 years apart as in your original post. Patrick's occupation is nutcher- does that match with the information you already have? Although he's listed as married his wife isn't in the household that night.
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Sligo/Sligo_East_Urban/Market_Street_Old/1684809

Think Flynn would be a very common surname in the area- are you sure that the children you've listed all belong to one couple named Patrick and Mary and aren't 2 separate families? you should have Mary's maiden name from the birth certificate but I don't see it mentioned here.

Not quite sure what I am doing as yet as I have just started out trying to trace the family - the information I have so far is that my grandfather, Thomas Flynn of Carrowkeel was married to Margaret Flanagan and had my mother - Helena - and she was registered in Miltown Malbay...........
