Is anyone going to Bristol Records Office please?
« on: Thursday 06 March 08 11:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I thought Bristol was Somerset, but it appears only on the Gloucestershire board  ???  Anyway, if SKS is going to the records office could they look up the following  marriage please?

Isaac BREACH married Elizabeth Sarah WHITE in 1855.

2nd quarter  vol 5c Pg 1216 registered at Bedminster.

Sorry I cannot narrow it down any further to a church for you.

Joan

I think you'd need to ask a moderator to do that for you :)

I think it is best if you post your request again on the Somerset board - because it is likely that the records are in Taunton (I think - correct me if I am wrong!)

Post it as a look-up and hopefully someone will be able to help you check where the records are held - sorry not to be more informative myself.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Hi Treelover

I checked at Bristol Record Office. The marriage took place at St John Bedminster on 14/4/1855
Isaac Breach aged 20 batchelor, accountant, son of Peter Breach, Banksman? to Elizabeth Sarah White, age 21, spinster, daughter of Henry White, warehouseman.
Both living Langton St., marriage by Banns, Both Isaac & Elizabeth signed their names.
Witness very unclear - Ed..?& Helen? Hemlett

Hope this helps

Hi Nashua,

Thank you ever so much.  After my posting I realised it would be a nigh on impossible task as I could not give any Church or Parish name.  I cannot beleive you took the time and trouble to get this information for me.  I am ever so grateful.

Once again,

Thank you,
Joan  :)

You're welcome Joan. I got lucky and it was the first church I tried so only took a few minutes.
