Grimsby/Cleethorpes PRs

Not sure if this is possible, but I would very much like to find the parish register entry for

Arthur Randell C. CROWDELL, born 18 NOV 1931

I've found him on the GRO indexes (birth registered in Grimsby RD) with mother's maiden name also CROWDELL - would like to know her forename.

I know I could order the certificate, but this individual is very probably not related to me - the mother's forename would clarify this!

Went to the library, but couldn't find anything on your Arthur.  Majority of births held there only go up to 1908

I'm very grateful to you for taking the time to have a look for me.  I suspected that it was perhaps a "too recent" birth record to appear in the PRs, so will have to bite the bullet and get the certificate.

Arthur Randall Cooper Crowdell was born on the 18th November 1931, the birth registered in Grimsby district.  He married Enid Ireland in 1953 and died in 1997.  His mother was Janet Elizabeth Kenney Crowdell and she married John W Cooper in 1935. More information on her ancestors if you are interested

Let me know if you want more information on the Crowdells, I do not know anything about the Cooper side however

I am sorry I do not go on this site very often and only just noticed your post. My husband is descended from the same Crowdell family as you.  I have been researching the Crowdell families from Leicestershire for many years now and have a family tree with photos and certificates etc on Ancestry.
Two of his american relatives came over to visit me and here they are when we found Joseph Crowdell grave in the Welford Road Cemetery in Leicester.

Thanks for your reply to my posting. 

Unfortunately, further research has revealed that the CROWDELLs are not my husbands ancestors, so I've not taken my investigations any further.
