Thanks goodness they knew where they were born ... looking at the childrens DOB and POB ...we can concentrate on certain areas. It seems that robert and Harriet most likely got married in Somerset or Wilts circa 1853 going by their eldest daughter, mary Ann's DOB

will look further

Hi CatOne

If you don't mind ..could you transcribe it ... just makes it easier to refer back.

Strange that you should see that her mum , Jane was born in Berks ... I have been on IGI and the only Harriet b c 1832 with mum Jane is this

IGI extracted
Harriet ISAAC
chr 27 feb 1831, Bray , Berks
parents Thomas Isaac and jane

at least we are honing in on dates for the marriage ...

1851 ..harriet Isaac 20 and single in Somerset.... her first daughter b c 1854, Somerset ..... so 1851-1854 to check for marriages .

thanks for that  :)

I was hoping to find Mary Ann Isaac's marriage to Thomas Talbot , that would have at least given us the father's name, so that Cathay could have hopefully found Jane's maiden name.

arrggghhhhh  where is Harriet's marriage to Robert Birch  :-\ :-\ :(

Theres this family in 1841 -

Ann Burch 40 Y
Thomas 20 Sweep Y
William 15 Sweep Y
Ann 15 Y
James 15 Y
Robert 11 Y
James 9 Y
Betty 7 Y
Charles 5 Y
Richard 2 Y
//
Thomas Burch 80 Sweep Y
Elizabeth 70 Y

Hi  :)

If we could find a birth reg for Richard b c 1839 ....Cathay could order birth cert and  we could confirm parents ... I have looked but don't see anything ... maybe someone else can spot him.

Also if Ann had Richard in 1839 , her husband had to have been alive in 1838 .... Maybe we could look for a Birch death between 1838 -1841...  :-\
