you're right ...the 1871 I found was actually the 1881 as cathay had them in 1871 as the Jones family ...my mistake .... I will look again for sarah Davis b abt 1823

yes and i think the witness there was robert hughes!!!i think james may have been roberts dad roberts brother as in the 1861 cencus he looks to have been born somewhere between 1796/1806

   where are they in 1861 so i can find right family
