yes its an idea isnt it louise?i will go and look at penfold tree that i have.perhaps all you with penfold trees would do the same.remeber robert was boren 1818 and sarah is from gloucester.his mum and dad,mary and robert hughes were def in honitin on otter,devon in 1818.i have the parish record.love cathay.have you seen how many sarah davis s there are in gloucester 1881 cencus.i dont know where to start?

just to complicate things further i would also like to find robert huges 1818 with a brother eli hughes around the same time. i dont think its my line of hughes but some hughes also went under the name of white at times!!cathayb

ah,i dont know if hes his brother or not.i just hope so.i will go and look up records to see if he was born in devon but it maybe hampshire.i will go look.back in a minute.it would just answer a lot of questions if he was his brother!!!!probably wishful thinking.

found a Sarah Davis christened 19 sept 1813 Bristol Glos.
parents; Isaac and Mary

re; Eli Hughes ...is he the one on the 1891 with wife Dianah and grandchildren? ... he is born Tisbury Wiltshire

Eli is easy to spot on the 1891 and 1871 ...which censuses are you looking for and do you have him under the name White?

cor i just got back from looking at my records and youve already done it!!eli was born 1828,i am looking for his perants to see if their the same as my robert hughes!!yes he was born tisbury wiltshire.  i think youve got my sarah now.can you find her in 1841 cencus?

i have looked at my penfold tree and cant go back further than john 1810.i would need his perants and siblines to check on that idea.
