Hi LionMac,

Thanks for your reply and info. Do you have a Kenneth McLean on you tree who was living in Loftus in 1787. His children were William, Thomas, James, Kenneth, Mary, Peggy, Jane and Alexander. He was married to a Jane Wilkinson. Do you think this line of McLeans is related to your Robert. Great you have a family tree. Is there any way we can see it?

Lovely to be in touch..

All of them names are common in my family in the 1800s, and my family have lived in Loftus at some point. I know my grandads dad who i met was born and lived there in 1911. The tree pre 19th century is pretty much work in progress all those names you have mentioned are common except Kenneth. The tree my uncle passed me last week still needs updating for every1 who is still alive today and additions, I am going to try to update it further but may still need clarification on some of the people who are on there already.  Are you close to Teesside? Do u have a tree with McLeans on it?

Hello,
I see you haven't logged on here for a while, so I hope you get this message.
I am looking for a Keith McLean who was born in Whitby, Yorkshire around the 1940-45.
I think he had a sister called Wendy.
If this rings a bell, please contact me, *
Thanks so much,
Tom

Hi!
I am descended from Kenneth McLean who was living in Loftus in 1787 tho apparently coming from somewhere in Scotland, through his son, Kenneth, grandson, George and great grandson, George, who was my grandmother's father.  Happy to fill in gaps / occupations and some stories for our branch of the family.
Anyone tracked down the original Kenneth in Scotland yet?

Hi Belem,
Great to hear from you. I don't have any information on your line of the tree so any information on it would be great to know.
Still no further on finding out where the original Kenneth is from. He married a Jane wilkinson and that is all I know.
Thanks for your reply. If you need any more information on my part of the tree I will happily supply it.
Woodvillecaz.
