Hi, Can anybody help with these Fairbrass who I cannot yet connect to my tree as I do not know the father's name. I was expecting to wait for the 1911 Census to try and place them but are finding members here so helpful thought it worth a try.

I also need help placing George W with a parents name so that I can place the marriage with the correct George W

It's not possible to obtain parents details on birth records as they are not available for public viewing at the local registrars office or the GRO

Re: marriage details - Unless you know the name of the church where they were married it is not possible to obtain the details you want from parish records.    The only other alternative is to buy a copy of their marriage certificate 

Florence is your only possibility as you know her mothers maiden name.  You could check the GRO index for a Fairbrass marriage and then check to see if the reference fits a Carpenter marriage (there's nothing on freebmd)

Hi Carol, Yes I am doing a one-name study, but as the London area branches are some way from my direct line it is not realistic to obtain certificates. I really posted in the hope there may be some Fairbrass  family using the site so that we could communicate. Still should I need to wait for 1911 census so be it. Thanks, John

Hi All, I have connected most of the people I listed except Amy born 1903 but died 1905 reg. Epping and Daniel Alfred born 1906 died 1907 reg. Whitechapel I am working on Lucy Eleanor who survived and married so hope for success soon. Any help still gratefully received.
