The Sarah Walker birth registered in 1848 says mmn is Hinks.

There is a Sarah Ann Sharpe registered MQ Ampthill mmn is blank on that one.

Thanks Pinetree - Sarah Ann Sharpe looks a likely bet.

The post I deleted above was a newspaper cutting re Mary Clark and William Dawson's eventual marriage in 1900 (I decided I probably shouldn't post it due to copyright etc) - it basically said that Ampthill union was going to stop outdoor relief for Mary unless they married. The baptist minister who married them did so without charging a fee.
