Am trying to track down my Ancestores with the Moore surname.
Their decendants are buried here in Australia in the Free Scotland Church section so am guessing they originated in scotland.
Is Moore a common name is specific counties of scotland?
I have gone as far back as Francis Moore who died in 1912. was married in Australia in in 1859 but no record of his birth.
Am guessing he was born overseas.
Anyone with any ideas?
cheers

Hi Thylacene,
Just done a search on LDS site, and can see 52 Francis Moores born 1839 +- 20 years (1819 to 1859) Can you find his age at death, or parents could maybe get that down from 52.
